Happy Mother’s Day

183491_2467209336065_2109248594_nHappy Mother’s Day….
To those who gave birth this year to their first child—we celebrate with you
To those who have lost a child – we mourn with you
To those who walk the hard path of infertility – we walk with you
To those who are step-parents, foster moms, mentor moms, and spiritual moms – we need you
To those who have warm and close relationships with your children – we celebrate with you
To those who’ve lost their mothers – we grieve with you
To those who have aborted children – we remember them and you on this day
To those who are pregnant with new life – we anticipate with you
And to those single DAD’s out there filling the role of absentee mothers – we appreciate you!

To all the women out there – whether you’re a mom, a teacher or a special friend and mentor – I’d like to recognize you on this day. I hope all of you have a great day filled with love and fun things you want to do, whether it’s breakfast in bed, a wonderful dinner at your favorite restaurant, or a manicure/pedicure day in the spa.

I would like to give a huge thanks to my dad for all he’s done for me….but I would also especially like to thank all of the women in my life who have acted as mother-figures to me. They may not be my mother by the very simplistic definition of giving birth, but nonetheless they are women who have touched my life and will always hold very special places in my heart. I want to thank all of them for being such caring and positive influences in my life. They deserve all the love, care and support that they have so graciously given me every day.

Again, I wish all women everywhere a wonderful and blessed Mother’s Day.
Take a moment and thank a woman for all that she may have done for you in your life.
Happy Mother’s Day!

  1. This is beautiful, absolutely beautiful! I have to admit I thought. ..not another sappy Mother’s Day story…but, Hunter may suprise me?!?!
And within the first several lines she had already! It’s not about the commercial holiday Hallmark wants us to celebrate. ..or what “our” mother looks like. ..Hunter reminds us…it’s about the love. ..
    Thank yOU Hunter!
